Boulder Imaging was formed in 1995 with the launch of Quazar, our proprietary HPDVR technology. The industry success achieved with Quazar formed the foundation from which Boulder Imaging launched the Vision Inspector suite of machine vision software. Vision Inspector is now utilized 24/7 in a multitude of industries and environments to provide machine vision inspection solutions for precision applications.

Carlos Jorquera
Chief Executive Officer, Chief Technology Officer
As the company founder and CEO, Carlos provides the vision and direction for Boulder Imaging’s technology. After extensive work with sensor technologies at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, he realized that high-performance imaging had a great deal of untapped potential and founded Boulder Imaging in 1995. He has since guided the company’s research and development and product road map, including products for real-time image acquisition, analysis, and processing solutions for high-speed manufacturing, engineering, and scientific application.
Don Mills
President, Chief Operating Officer
As Chief Operating Officer and President, Don manages Boulder Imaging’s strategic planning, finance and operations management. His extensive background in design and manufacturing for the aerospace and automotive industries is instrumental in assessing the challenges that Boulder Imaging’s clients face. Don leverages more than 20 years in finance and engineering to lead Boulder Imaging’s evolution from research and development to provider of turnkey and custom imaging solutions.
BILL REID
Vice President
Vice President Bill Reid directs Boulder Imaging’s Professional Services team and is responsible for the development, continuous improvement, and delivery of customer support for IdentiFlight and Boulder Imaging industrial customers. In addition to his strategic and operational leadership of customer support, Bill contributes to next-generation product design efforts for Boulder Imaging and IdentiFlight. He joins Boulder Imaging with 30 years of engineering experience, including strategic and technical leadership in product planning and development for medical devices, automotive, aerospace, and complex electromechanical systems.
JASON LUTTRELL
Vice President, Software and Quality Engineering
Jason ensures that all Boulder Imaging products meet stringent, exceptional quality levels. With a diverse background in software development, systems engineering, and quality assurance, Jason brings a passion for delivering products of world-class quality. Jason’s experience includes enterprise laser-jet system design, end-to-end automation test system development, and infrastructure design to accommodate rigorous quality standards. Jason also serves as Boulder Imaging’s Chief Security Officer.
JOEY NESBITT
Director, Sales
As Director of Sales, Joey leads the business development, marketing, and sales engineering efforts for Boulder Imaging’s diverse machine vision applications. With a myriad of experience spanning 15 years, including machine vision, manufacturing, and operations, Joey works closely with customers to understand requirements and deliver high-performance inspection solutions. As the inventor of several patents in the machine vision industry, Joey brings a passion for cutting edge solutions to solve our customer’s most difficult challenges.
AARON COPPAGE
Director, Global Field Operations
Aaron Coppage brings more than ten years of engineering expertise to his role as Director of Production and Installation, leading manufacturing and field installations for IdentiFlight systems worldwide. His background also includes ushering the IdentiFlight system from research, design development, field and lab testing and most recently into commercial sales.
ALAN DUBOIS
Director, Hardware Engineering
Alan brings over 20 years of mechanical engineering, design, and management experience to the Boulder Imaging and IdentiFlight hardware team. He leads a cross-functional team of engineers, and with their design throughput, has created new systems that improve quality and consistency. Alan and his team lead the field in technological development and innovation.
BRIAN HOGAN
Director, Professional Services
As the director of the PS business, Brian is responsible for the post-install operation of Boulder Imaging solutions, including the Maintenance and Service delivery to our customers. The primary mission is customer satisfaction through outstanding engineering support to allow customers to maximize their return on investment. He joins us with over 20 years of engineering management experience, mostly in professional services and customer delivery.
ANDREW GITZENDANNER
General Manager
Serving as Boulder Imaging’s General Manager, Andrew “Gitz” Gitzendanner brings more than 10 years of business systems and process analysis to the company. Dedicated to bridging disciplines within the company, Gitz provides valuable insight and tangible outcomes when meeting the demands of process change goals of Boulder Imaging and IdentiFlight. Working closely with all teams, Gitz creates a cross-functional dynamic.
JOHN HOWARD
Director, Production
John leads Boulder Imaging’s operational excellence initiatives with a focus on continuous improvement. He works closely with the production team to ensure efficient processes are implemented and operated, including fulfilling orders and meeting deadlines for the IdentiFlight product. A Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt, John has overseen over 65 kaizens and played a pivotal role in transforming ISO-certified organizations. With a background in manufacturing engineering, supply chain, and production planning, John is known for his strategic execution and technical expertise. He’s a collaborative leader dedicated to fostering team growth and driving impactful results.
SCOTT TREMBLAY
Controller
Boulder Imaging’s Controller, brings over 11 years of experience in accounting and financial operations. A collaborative leader, Scott excels in fast-paced environments, driving strategic financial initiatives and improving processes to align with company goals. His diverse background includes work in e-commerce, healthcare management, and software, with expertise spanning the full business lifecycle, from startups to mergers and acquisitions. Scott has successfully implemented ERP, payroll, and business intelligence systems across multiple companies, consistently fostering success at every level.
